My screen is fuzzy, wavy, scrambled, or black and white. Why?
If your screen is distorted, please follow these tips:
- Make sure that video red and audio red are not accidentally mixed up.
- Video game console settings are set to accept component video and not standard RCA.
- Make sure you have a compatible HDTV.
I don't see any difference in picture quality. Why? To see any real difference in most games, the game itself must be optimized to at least 720p. If the game isn't in the higher resolution, you may not see significant improvements. How do you set up COMPONENT CABLES? All Component Cables follow a very simple set up. They will run (from Left to Right in color) GREEN VIDEO, BLUE VIDEO, RED VIDEO, WHITE AUDIO, RED AUDIO.
On your Television there should be a set of inputs with these colors.
Always remember to not accidently mix up the RED VIDEO and RED AUDIO.

What can I do?
If your controller is having bad lag or connection drop outs first check your batteries to make sure that they are fresh and fully charged. If this doesn't help then you may be having a problem with wireless interference. Things that may be causing wireless interference are things like:
- Wireless internet hotspots
- Routers
- Cordless phones
- Large plants
- Cell phones
If you think that you maybe experiencing wireless interference from one of these reasons, try removing them from the room or immediate vicinity of your wireless controller. My controller shows that it is connected, but does not work. What can I do?
Sometimes, an internal fuse in the PS2 (called the 8-volt line) will blow and cease to function, thereby making the wireless receiver unusable.
To test the 8-volt line, plug your original Dual Shock controller into port 1. Then insert a game that you know has the vibration function. With the vibration function turned on, play the game and purposely try to get the vibration motor to run (ie crash into a wall, fall off a cliff, get hit by artillery, etc).
If you receive zero vibration it is most likely that your 8-volt fuse is blown. In that case, the PS2 must be repaired before the wireless controller/receiver will work.
My Guitar is not connecting to my console, what should I do?
The first thing you should do is make sure you have fresh batteries in your guitar. If that is the case:
- Re-plug your receiver into the console
- Flip the guitar switch 'ON'
- Holding the guitar close to the receiver, hit the 'CONNECT' button on both the guitar and on the receiver.
